Police Department Relocation & Renovation
Project Details: The Village of Manteno contracted Carlile Architects to renovate an existing bank to accommodate their growing police force and currently outdated facility.
Overview: The Village of Manteno Police Department was relocated to a new 8,600 square foot building. Carlile Architects was hired to transform the existing bank to serve as a state-of-the-art community policing station. Administration spaces provide leadership and investigation dedicated offices and shared conference spaces with soft natural finishes integrated with contemporary aluminum and glass partitions. Patrol spaces provide offices for shift sergeants, a large squad briefing space, and semi-private report writing areas. All department staff are provided with new locker rooms as well as a large physical fitness space. Private victim interview rooms, secure holding and interrogation spaces, and an enclosed sallyport provide for operational efficiencies.
